I am currently working on converting a number of cassette tapes to digital files using a cassette capture device and audacity. It has been working very well for a while, but recently when the cassette changes sides, Audacity will automatically stop recording. It gives me a message on the screen that it could possibly be that I have too many programs open, or that I am saving to a slow external storage device, but I am saving directly to my computer’s hard drive and Audacity is the only program I keep open. I’m not sure what is causing this issue, but it makes it extremely difficult to convert the tapes. Thank you for any help you could give me!
