Trouble Recording

Windows 7 64bit, Audacity 2.0.3, I can’t remember .exe or zip.

When I try to record I can see the waveform forming, but every few seconds it disappears. I have looked through my device settings and there does not appear to be noise suppresion or sound effects settings. Do you have any other suggestions?

Trying to record what?

Both from the built in mic on my laptop and the mic/line in jack.

A lot of people call capturing from YouTube “recording.” What else would you want?

Post a bit of the error track on the forum. If you already turned off “Windows Enhanced Services,” then there are not a lot of things left. Audacity does not affect sound during recording.

A friend helped me figure out that the path to the temp folder was not correct or the temp folder did not exist. Creating a temp folder fixed the problem.
