I’ve attempted to install audacity on several different computers and every time I try the above message appears. When I try to reinstall audacity the same message appears, and I really don’t know what to do at this point. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!
I don’t think this is an Audacity problem. I think that message is coming from one of your other sound programs that is conflicting with Audacity. Koz
Windows does not always find the DLL files needed to start Audacity although we put them in the Audacity installation folder. Windows may look in system folders for these files instead, but on a newly installed Windows, the system versions of those files may not be there.
