i am recording music from spotify and when i am done i export the music to my desktop but when i click on it nothing happens, but when i look at the properties it has like 84 bytes.

If you don’t have the current Audacity 2.1.0 from Audacity ® | Free, open source, cross-platform audio software for multi-track recording and editing., please upgrade to that and see if the problem is still there.
If the problem is still there, please tell us whether you are using Export Audio, Export Selected Audio or Export Multiple and tell us exactly what format you are exporting to (for example, WAV or MP3). Tell us what name you choose for the exported file.
A possible explanation would be that you have no disk space left to export. Another may be that you dragged a small selection by mistake and used Export Selected Audio.

Do we assume your issue is fixed? If not, please tell us if you see the blue waves before you export. If you don’t see the blue waves, follow Audacity Manual.
If you see the blue waves but can’t export, tell us whether you are using Export Audio, Export Selected Audio or Export Multiple and tell us exactly what format you are exporting to (for example, WAV or MP3). Tell us what name you choose for the exported file.
Make sure you have enough disk space left to export.
