trimming an audio

Hi,

I have an audio that is 40 seconds long but there is a gap of silence between the end of the music and end of the track. I would like to know how to cut the audio to exactly when and where the actual music stops at

  1. Zoom in on the end of the track (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/zooming.html)
  2. Select the part that you wish to remove (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/audacity_selection.html)
  3. Press the “DEL” key on your keyboard.
  4. Export the audio (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/file_menu_export.html)

Note that some compressed formats (such as MP3) always add a little padding to the ends of files, so if you require an exact length, you need to use a format that does not add padding, (such as WAV, AIFF, FLAC or OGG) when you export.
