'TRIAL' words intermittently playing in my recording

Hi

I’ve been using Audacity for a little while and recorded 2 podcasts yesterday - only to try and edit them tonight and find that the word ‘TRIAL’ is being said every 20 seconds in the background!! :frowning:

I thought this was free but am I missing something? I’m happy to pay but I don’t know how/where/what’s going on.

Can someone please help as I’ve just wasted 3 hours of recording time and I’m devastated - or is there a fix to remove this ‘watermark’???

Audacity is free. I don’t know anything about any such watermark. Be sure you download your software from the official Audacity site: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/

(There are imposters.)

If you installed a third-party plugin into Audacity that could be responsible for a “trial” watermark,
(e.g. a free demo/trial version of the plugin).
