TRANSFER WAV FROM MY MUSIC TO WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER11[SOLVED]

Windows xp, Professional version 2002, Windows Media Player (WMP) version 11
Audacity 2.0.2, downloaded from an .exe installer. Source for the recording is a cassette.
Recording, editing, saving and exporting in either WAV or MP3 formats to a folder in MY
MUSIC, all work fine. Playback in WMP in either format also works fine
Windows transfers files in MP3 format from a folder in MY MUSIC to the WMP library
without difficulty when the following procedure is used:
a) Export file in MP3 format to folder in MY MUSIC (One folder per file)
b) Open WMP library
c) Open MY MUSIC
d) Play song (WMP is the default)
e) In less than 15 sec. the song with it’s details will appear in WMP library and
is available for all the usual uses in making Playlists and Burnlists
This procedure does NOT work if the file has been exported in the WAV format
As I have not been able to transfer song files from MY MUSIC to the WMP library, I need
help and advice on how to do it or how it can be done

Have you tried making WMP rescan the My Music folder?

Thank You for your reply
No I have not had WMP rescan the My Music folder
It would be appreciated if you could detail the steps on how to do it
Thank You

See if this helps http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows-xp/help/windows-media-player/11/library . No one here uses WMP.
