Hi, I use Raspberry Pi 4 B and Audacity, but with the latest version installed from the repository I’m having problems. Basically, I’m recording a guitar solo over a backing track, but it’s not perfectly timed. I looked at the buffer, frequency, latency, etc. settings in the old version, where the problem isn’t there, and I set the new version exactly the same as the old one, but I can’t fix the problem. What could be the cause? Thanks.
May have to do the latency test again …
“Note: If you change any of your recording or playback devices (for example, if you change from using the line input port on your computer to using a USB audio interface) or if you use the same device but change the Audio Host in Device Toolbar then you will need to do this test again. The test you just did only applies for the specific inputs and outputs and host used during the test.”
Hi, I use a sound card and I set the sound card as both a recording device and a playback device, as latency I set the same as I set in the old version and which did not give problems, buffer 100 latency -130, I also tried with -150 and -170 but I do not notice any differences.
Hi, ok, I saw that there is a guide for latency compensation!
I managed to fix the problem, simply by setting the latency compensation to zero
