# Запись инструмента

Добрый день

Читаю манул по данной программе о записи:

> Part 4 − Recording with Audacity − Part 4
> 
> 1. Create a new project

Все понятно

> 1. Check the preferences  
> Make sure your playback and recording device are set. If you’re going to record a stereo signal,  
> check the “Record in stereo” checkbox in the Audio I/O preferences.

Теперь не понятно. У обоих playback и recording устройств есть много вариантов выбора, что выбирать? чекбокса “Record in stereo” в упомянутых настройках НЕТ! Видно писали для старой версии документацию

> When picking a device to record from, make sure you’ve set up all the connections properly, such as  
> plugging a microphone in to the Mic Input, and any other device in to the Line In of your sound  
> card. Then check that the gain level knob(the amount by how much the input should be amplified) of  
> the mixer of your soundcard is set right.

Первое предложение ясно - я воткнул бас гитару в усилитель стандартно. + воткнул переходник джеком в усилитель и миниджеком в компьютер (звуковую карту) на месте входа Line In. Второе предложение - где этот миксер звуковой карты?

Здесь опять же упоминается миксер, но конкретно ничего. Наверное потому что они бывают разные. Но все же, к примеру какой использовать мне и как вообще проверить есть ли он?

Короче, кто умеет записывать свою игру с помощью Audacity? Подскажите что мне нужно сделать. Спасибо
