Hi guys, using Audacity 2.0.2 on a Windows 7 32-bit.
The problem is that I’ve got audio that was just recorded bad. When it hits the higher gains, it sounds distorted and fuzzy. I’m not looking for a perfect fix, but something that could just tone down the sound when it hits certain high levels. Any help would be great, thanks!
Overload/clipping is a certified way to kill a show. You can make the distortion quieter, but you can’t make it any less distorted. This bites Windows users sooner or later because most Windows laptops don’t have a Stereo Line-In connection. The Microphone-In connection that they do have overloads very easily and produces permanent distortion.
