Tone or Hum in back ground of old tape recording

I’m am new to Audacity and I have a old tape recording of my Mother reading bed time stories but it has annoying tone in the background through out the tape. is there away to remove it in Audacity ?? I have it saved as a WAV file

If it is a constant tone, it will be continuous horizontal line(s) on the spectrogram which can be notched-out, see this example … https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/spectral_selection.html#example
