But after versions 2.0 or 2.1 we can no longer select a very small part of the audio to cut it or remove the noise, the minimum possible ranges to remove are larger, i find that it’s a shame…
personally I still use version 2.06 that I had kept because of that …

You have probably accidentally turned on “Snap To”.
Set “Snap To” to “None” to turn it off.
