Tempo changing on tracks after file is saved and reopened after update?

There’s another post on here thats the exact same issue as mine but it has been closed, since the last update my files when re-opened to work on them again are all nonsense and the tempo has changed on them - it means every little thing is out of place and the files have to be binned entirely as it takes a long time to re-do a 13 minute track of lots of different elements!

Absolute nightmare! Have used audacity for many many years now and never had an issue until now, unfortunately it’s the biggest issue I could possibly have!

Is there any fix for this other than using a different software entirely??

It’ a known bug, though it seems to affect some users and not others. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next release. In the mean time, if the bug is happening for you, then it is probably best to use an older version until a new fixed version is available.

Same problem with 3.5.1 on Windows 11. Terrible. I would like to reinstall an old and stable version but I fear it’s not possible to re-open my newest files…

I can open my files fine on 3.5.0 which I downloaded today (I think it’s that one, the previous update not the latest one ) and I don’t get the glitches I had on the most recent update, my files are fine so I’d give it a try!
