I’m running Mac OS Mojave 10.14 and audacity version 2.2.2

Is there a way to receive notifications for updates? 2.2.2 has been out since February and I just found out about it today.

Also: MacOS Mojave gets rid of support for 32 bit apps. Is audacity going to update to 64 bit?

Probably eventually. Did you get a Mojave beta copy or did your new machine come that way?

I’m about to uncork a new Mini and I’m afraid it’s going to have Mojave on it and many of my older apps will fail.

I put mine on Mojave. Mojave is supposed to release tomorrow so if you get a mini sometime this week or next week it would probably come with high Sierra. audacity still works fine on Mojave I just get a popup every time I open it saying it needs to be updated.

Nagware. I updated my MBA to High Sierra and everything seems to work OK and I want to keep it that way for a while.

Jake (Mini) was delivered 24 August, so it should be OK.

The fuzzy guess is Audacity 2.2.3 will be the last 32-bit. It’s too far along to drop everything and start over and it has some very desirable bug fixes.

The next release will be Audacity 2.3.0, and yes it probably will be the last 32-bit version for Mac.

The advertised release date would appear to be 24 Sep 2018 - see: http://www.alphr.com/apple/1009504/macos-mojave-dark-mode-desktop-ios-apps
and Apple will release macOS Mojave on September 24. Here’s what's coming. | Mashable
