Before I begin I’m still pretty new to editing so I may not know the solution to this problem to solve it myself. I’m recording using a Shure MV7 and when I try to record in stereo it only comes through one ear so I’m assuming I’m supposed to record in Mono. Unfortunately when I try to record in Mono I get this deafening static and when I try to use noise reduction my sound quality ends up being terrible. It sounds like my voice is muffled/in a tunnel. Has anyone else experienced this? And if so, I would really appreciate if anyone could help me solve this because it’s really limiting my ability to produce. Thanks in advance.

“capsule” singular, so it’s a mono microphone.
You’ve not mentioned how you’ve connected it to the computer
Interface
- USB
- XLR
- 3.5 mm jack
[ A quick thing worth trying is to change the Audacity project-rate from the default 441000Hz to 48000Hz to make it compatible ].
