I’ve recently purchased a cassette capture device from Amazon. I have used the audacity disk provided for the software, and have upgrade this software to audacity 2.0.4. My problem is in the edit preferences section my recording device only gives the following, Integrated microphone array, Stereo mix (IDT high definition), Primary sound capture device, and not the USB audio devices as shown in your manual. My PC is running Windows 8, and it does not appear to recognise the cassette. Please help.
If you connected the USB cassette player after starting Audacity, try Transport Menu > Rescan Audio Devices in Audacity.
