Start Up Issues [SOLVED]

Hey,

When I start up Audacity, the help screem comes up, but not the mixer page. I tried uninstalling it and downloading it, but that didn’t work.

Which version of Audacity are you using (the complete, 3-part number, for example “2.1.0”)? What version of OS X are you using?

After you click the “OK” button on the “How to get help” window, the main Audacity window does not appear? If you choose File > New Project, do you get a new, empty Audacity window?

OS X: 10.10.2

Audacity: 2.1.0

No, it does not.

Open /Applications/Utilities/Activity Monitor.app. In the window that opens, click on Audacity then press the Force Quit button.

Then open Finder, use Go > Go to Folder and type:

~/Library/Application Support/audacity/

Then trash the “audacity.cfg” settings file in that folder.

Ok, it worked, thanks:)

Is there a way to put a voiceover over music in Audacity?

Yes. See this tutorial: Audacity Manual
