Splitting Mono Track and Exporting to MP3

Hello to everyone in the Audacity forum!

I am able to split a mono track recording and get it to play in both speakers through audacity. The problem is that when I export the file into an mp3, it still only plays through the right speaker. What do I do?

If you have a single track with blue waves, force it to be Mono with the drop-down menu under the little black arrow on the left. When you export, the show should appear left and right which is how a stereo system handles Mono Koz
