Splitting album files into separate files for each song

What is the easiest way to split a single album file into individual files for each song?

I would manually mark split points rather than trusting a silence finder, but if an automatic silence finder makes a first guess and I can correct it, then that would be fine.

When I made all my vinyl conversions I dropped labels as the LP was playin.

And sometimes if the LP had track timings on it I prepared a Label track in advance with labels at the listed timings and then made the recording.
