Hi Since installing the lastest version of Audacity, I’ve had to amplify the recording many times to be able to edit it. The sound is recording ok but what I see on the screen is miniscule. Can I revert to the previous version?
It’s probably not Audacity but here are the older versions if you want to try.
What are you recording from?
That’s what counts! 
Low digital recording levels usually aren’t a problem and pros tend to record at low levels. But if it’s not intentional, low analog levels can sometimes be an indication of a problem.
