Sony WH-1000XM3 Bluetooth headphones prevent Audacity from working when connected

How can we speed up the bug squishing process, so that Audacity and Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones integrate better with Windows? Right now, when I have the headphones connected to my Surface Pro 7, Audacity complains at launch:

Error Initializing Audio

Could not find any audio devices.
You will not be able to play or record audio.

Error: Internal PortAudio error

Audacity 2.4.2, Windows 10

There is a new version of Audacity coming out shortly. We’ll see how that one goes.

Wireless devices and internet connected devices are not a matter of switching from a wire to another wire. Wireless and Internet services all have data errors, connection management, device selection, direction protocols, and retry services.

Typically, whenever Audacity loses connection with a device for any time at all, it drops the service like a hot rock because Audacity can’t maintain perfect real-time music or voice. It sees that error as similar to a loose USB cable. It will shut those down, too.

Do you have wired headphones you can use for production?
