A friend has some Sony PCM F1 recordings that would like edited.
I searched the forum using “Sony PCM F1” to see if anyone had posted doing this but only found 1 mention that was not relevant

Since that’s a pre-DAT machine unpopular in 1980 I wouldn’t imagine you would need very many extra cups and saucers for guests. What form is the work in now? Not the original tape, I hope.
The material is supposed to be semi-complaint Pulse Code Modulation, so it might be possible to just open (Import) them into Audacity.
If you have a working tape machine, you might be able to use the DAT trick and pump the Headphone output into the computer stereo Line-In. If your Windows machine has no Line-In (very likely) then you can add a stereo adapter.

“What form is the work in now? Not the original tape, I hope.” Yes the original tape. Am told that it was always stored with tail out (played to end) instead of rewound to beginning.
Any tips concerning what to do when try to play the tape?

That would be going back to analogue, correct?
Since there were a number of PCMF1 units hope there are some experts for digitally converting these recordings.
Any suggestions concerning searching the Internet for forums that may discuss these old machines?
