I am trying to set up version 3.6 on my iMac 14.6.1 (Sonoma). The Audio Settings chart says for me to choose options that are not available to me when I try. Interface Host: MME is not available; only Core Audio is available. On Playback device, on USB Audio CODEC or iMac Speakers are my options; I don’t see Speaker/Headphone (Realtek High). On Recording Device, Analog Connector (UA-1EX) isn’t an option; only USB Audio CODEC is available to let me pick 2 speakers (Stereo). The rest of the settings below it I can find and select. Can someone advise if my options work? Or, if not, what should I do?
Thanks.
It looks like you’re looking at the Windows documentation. Those options don’t exist on a Mac.
I use a Mac and the only Interface Host I have is also Core Audio.
Your Roland Analog Connector (UA-1EX) will be a USB AUDIO CODEC as far as Mac OS is concerned. You don’t need any drivers. MacOS already has them.
I’ve found the Mac utility Audio Midi Setup, already on your system, very useful in setting up more complicated stuff.
Hope this helps.
