If you are using Audacity to record music from an internet radio station or Jango etc, can the provider actually detect whether you are actually recording a track or simply listening?
Apologises if this has been addressed elsewhere on the forum but I couldn’t locate the answer.
Nobody can tell if you’re doing it in real time. Audacity has techniques for recording “What’s Playing on the Computer.” So you can record while you’re listening.
Most people aren’t happy with that, so they go the download route. If you try downloading the song, that will trigger flags.
