I clicked on “Snap to …” expecting choices other than “on” or “off”. Snap to markers would be awesome (like snap to guides in graphic apps). Snap to silence areas would be cool too, maybe peaks, etc
In Audacity 1.3.6 you can “snap to” seconds, milliseconds, film frames, NTSC frames, PAL frames… depending on the units that are selected in the selection toolbar.
There is also a “gentle snapping” to the ends of audio clips when “snap to” is not selected. This shows up as a yellow vertical line. This is also present for labels.
