Using Audacity on Mac OSX 10.6.8 on an iMac. Downloaded with dmg file.
I just cut from one track and pasted to another. There’s a very slight hesitation between the old bit and the new. Is there a way to smooth this? Many thanks.
Use Edit > Find Zero Crossings (shortcut Z) on the selection before making the cut. If you are pasting in an existing waveform. Use Z again before the paste. This works most times to prevent clicks at the joins, but not always.
You can also cross-fade between the joins using Envelope Tool if the parts to be joined are on separate tracks.
