Is there a way to slow down a track to make it easier to select clips for cutting?

Can someone move this to the Audio Processing forum?

There is no good way to do this in Audacity 1.2.6. But Audacity 1.3.3 allows you to slow audio down (or speed it up) arbitrarily.

There is a second play button with a slider next to it, set that to the speed you want and press the second play button.
