I would like to follow up on eastavin’s question about slow saving.
I edit a short piece of audio (perhaps 3 mins), then “save as” a version, then make some minor changes, “save as” another version and repeat 10 or more times. Each save is progressively slower, presumably as the size of the undo history increases.
Closing and re-opening (to clear the undo history) also takes time that adds up with each iteration, so doing “save as” would help with productivity. a lot.
If it is the undo history causing the slow save, can the history be limited via a setting in a future version? I noticed that deleting some of the history was removed from 2.x; sounds like there may have been some issues with that.
Thank you for a great piece of software.
