I picked up the mic and have been loving the audio that comes out of it with audacity but I need it to work with skype, I don’t know know what other audio forum to post this to since I don’t have much knowledge on the matter but since the majority of people here seem to be knowledgeable in audio tech I though you guys would be able to give me some useful info on how to fix it

that’s what my settings look like I also have the H1 zoom plugin installed on my computer, but maybe the problem is that skype isn’t recognizing the plugin and I don’t know how to get it to do that. Any help is appreciated really.
Kind regards

Let me use different words there. “I love how it sounds when I make a Zoom recording and then move the recorded sound file into Audacity?”
My Zoom will not “be a microphone” unless I tell it to be in the Zoom setup.

Sorry if I’m incorrect but I’m recording it straight in audacity I’m not moving any sound files when I use it in audacity.

my mine gripe is that how come audacity can easily get the audio input but not skype?
please correct me if I’m wrong in any way with this
kind regards

Just wanted to be clear about that. That’s a specific Zoom setting. It’s not plug and play.
I think Skype really likes mono microphones. The illustration is of a stereo recording. Is there a setting to make your Zoom appear as a mono microphone? I have plugged my sound mixer into a Skype session. That totally does work, but I’m more than half-way remembering I used the FX Send from the mixer which is mono.

yea I think that might be it I just messed around with the settings a bit more and changed the mono/stereo setting and it started working magically. I think it was just due to the fact that skype likes messing with the settings of my mic without showing me, after I messed with them for a bit it’s all good thank you for the help and advice it I really appreciate it.
