I’ve been a long time user of Audacity for fun mostly. Ever since cool edit was bought out and destroyed.
Anyway, I’ve got an issue that Audacity may resolve.
So this month me and my girlfriend just bought a house. My girlfriend’s family has been having some minor problems with her sister, who is graduating highschool next year. The thing is we’ve come to the conclusion that it might be a good idea to have her stay with us for the next school year. Basically she’ll be our slave, doing chores and not let to see the light of day or have any friends. Not really, but you get the idea, but I’ll need to do some spying on her. I plan on putting a microphone in her room and recording anything she says, including when (if she ever is allowed to) she talks on the phone.
I’d like to see if there was a way to save segments automatically, like every hour, audacity automatically saves to a shared folder. Thus clearing memory space, and backing up audio, in case she gets out the next day or is late from school. We could discover where she planned on being.
I think I’d do the same with my own kids if they were as bad as her.
