Using Audacity 3.5.1 because subsequent editions turned out to be unfit for purpose (they made audio quieter on compression when the point of compressing is to make them louder and I got no workaround when I asked about it). PC is Win11. Using Audacity to pre-record a rock radio show.
Tried plugging Jabra headset into PC with jack rather than the full USB headset with the volume control. At that point, it was monitoring, but recorded too quietly.
Therefore went and got the USB cable for it and connected up the full version. At that point, silent monitoring stopped and I couldn’t get it to record anything, no matter how many times I rescanned audio devices, restarted Audacity or restarted my PC. How do I get it to work, please?
