Signal coming in is 48 khz and Audacity is set to 44.1 khz

Audacity 2.4.2/Windows 10

I’ve been digitizing some records and just went to a new setup with a Schiit Mani (record pre) and a Schiit Jil (ADC). I’ve done about 10 records today and haven’t listened to them yet. The lowest sample rate output on the Jil is 48 khz. My problem is that I forgot to change the button in the lower left from 44.1 to 48 - so I’ve got at 48 khz signal coming in and Audacity is recording at 44.1 khz

I’ve searched and most result are about changing sample rates, etc. I know how to do that. My question is will I notice a problem with the recordings? Will I have to redo them all?

Unless it sounds noticeably at the wrong speed / pitch, then it’s likely to be close to perfect conversion from 48 kHz to 44.1 kHz. Audacity’s sample rate converter is extremely good. If you want to put them on an audio CD, they would have to be converted to 44.1 kHz anyway.

So if Audactity is set to 44.1 and the incoming signal is 48 khz, then Audacity converts it on the fly so what I end up with is 44.1?

Yes.
