Shorter exported audio [SOLVED]

Hi guys!

Please help

I have Audacity 2.1.0 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64x SP1 and i recorded gaming commentary which is 1:50 hour long. When I export the file as WAV (Microsoft) file, Audacity exports only 17:00 minutes of the commentary and thats it (File length is 17:00 minutes)

I can listen the file in full length in Audacity and edit it. Only problem is when exporting.

Wanted to export in MP3, but i got something missing so I didn`t go with that.

I also tryed to uninstall and install it back again (same problem).

I doubt this is the problem but there is a 2GB or 4GB file size limit for WAV files (depending on which spec you read). By any chance did you export to a “high resolution” format? A “normal” 17 minute 44.1 kHz or 48kHz 16 or 24-bit WAV file won’t be a problem but with more bits or a higher sample rate you might run into the limits.

Did you have a selection in the waves and do export selection by mistake?

Hey guys,

sorry for not replying sooner.

Because of business, I changed the hard drives and reinstalled the Windows and everything works fine so the problem is gone. I appreciate your help

Thanks!
