Shift key pops up keyboard preferences

Thought I had submitted this yesterday but don’t see it so here is again.

After editing a file the keyboard preferences window pops up when I press the shift key.
Was using version 2.3.2 but updated to 2.4.2 to see if that helped but did not. Win 8.1.
