Session files without aup

I accidentally clicked save for a session without naming the aup file. I have all the session data files but have no aup file to open them.

Is there any way to open the session files without the original aup file?

Thanks

What’s the name of the folder that they are in? It will be something ending with “_data”.

If you have one, then you know what the other was called.

Audacity will not save one without the other and it always picks the same name for both. The only good way to mess this up is closing Audacity or the computer before they’re done.

Do Not rename either one outside of Audacity and don’t move them separately.

Use Windows search to find the missing one.

No.

Taking that question a slightly different way. Yes, you can totally open up the little AU sound files inside the _DATA folder. They’re six seconds long, mono and they open in Audacity just fine. What they don’t do is fit back together into a show without the AUP Project Manager file.
