Server identity cannot be confirmed

I am running MacOS Catalina 10.15.1
I just downloaded and installed Catalina 2.3.3
I am now trying to do the workaround so they will play nice with each other.
When I launch the Terminal app and type “open /Applications/Audacity.app/Contents/MacOS/Audacity” I get ““Audacity” can’t be opened because the identity of the developer cannot be confirmed.”
Please help.

Ensure that you get the Audacity DMG via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/mac/

Yes that is where I started from, it takes me to fosshub where I downloaded the dmg file and followed the instructions.
