I am new to Audacity and I’m trying to “make” a soundtrack - or I want to play tracks continually. I have tried various options - loaded MP3 songs MP4 songs and even the movie and tried to extract the audio (but then I get dialogue as well) .
When I export the music files to MP3 they play back scrambled. I have the FFmpeg and LAME libraries loaded. What am I doing wrong?
I would really appreciate some help as I am not extremely "tech savvy"either.

We’re going to need a better explanation of what you’re doing.
If you are opening an audio/video file, what’s the format? Does it play OK in Audacity before exporting?
What happens if you simply open an MP3 or WAV, and then re-export with a new file name? I assume that works OK?
I have the FFmpeg and LAME libraries loaded.
LAME is built-into the current version of Audacity so you don’t have to add it. (LAME is ONLY used for EXPORTING to MP3. It’s not used for other formats and it’s not used for opening/importing.)
FFmpeg is for importing and exporting a wide variety of other formats. If you have an Audio/Video file you’ll probably need FFmpeg.
