I am doing a project where I need to import the audacity files I previously recorded into powerpoint. Some of the recordings are very loud and I need to lower the volume. What is the best way to lower the volume and than how do I save that change I made?
There’s several ways to do this:
Method 1
Import the audio file.
Select the track then select “Amplify” from the “Effect” menu.
Set the Amplify amount to a negative value and apply it.
Export as a new file.
Method 2
Import the audio file.
Adjust the volume slider (on the left end of the track) to reduce the playback level.
Export as a new file.
