I have a new laptop with windows 7 on it. I loaded a wave file on audicity, edited it, and then tried to export it as a wave file, so I could eventually use it on a cd I’m making. however, the export window will only let me save it a as a htm file, which is rather worthless! No wave file save options on the little window! What the heck?
First, make sure you stopped recording. Lots of windows are gray or missing if you only record pause instead of full stop.
Then, make sure you’re not in the metadata edit window instead of the export window. If it’s asking you for song names, just OK the panel and continue with the export.
