When saving a file, I was saving it, and it asked if I would like to save a replace a file with the same name. I accidentally hit yes. Is there a way to recover the file I deleted?
Do not close Audacity. Keep pressing Edit > UNDO until you get back to the original file. Export that as a different name.

What if I already closed it?
You’re dead.

If it was a WAV or AIFF file and you imported it using the “Read directly (faster)” option, then the original file is still there with “-old” attached to the end of the name. That is the only exception to the “you’re dead” rule.
