Sample Rate error, but Correct

I have been at this for 2 days. I get the sample rate error 9997 when attempting to record using WASAPI audio host as it is the only one that will detect all my input channels (I am using a Tascam US-16x08 interface). If I record using WASAPI but with another USB device with a single channel it will record just fine. If I try to record using MME or Window DirectSound with only a mono or stereo out put with the Tascam, it works. I cannot get the system to work with all my inputs being able to record at once. I am trying to record my drums. I see plenty of people are able to do it online, so I know it should work, right?

I have double checked all my sample rates on my laptop and in Audacity and they are all set to 44100. I have updated my drivers on the laptop so they are all up to date.

At a loss and do not want to start over with another DAW as I am a beginner and Audacity has been awesome up to this point.

Thank you

Did you check in the Windows Sound control panel?

  1. open the run dialog with Windows logo + R
  2. enter: mmsys.cpl
  3. press the OK button

Check in both the Playback and Record tabs.
