Hi, I’m a musician who uses Audacity. The “tempo” feature has been immeasurably helpful with my workflow, making like, a LOT of things way more efficient. However, in some instances, such as the tempo not being set right before I record or import audio, or the tempo defaulting to an incorrect value in an old project, I am unable to set it right without it changing the speed of every clip, which can often wreck the structure of the project afterwards. I would appreciate it a lot if there were a preference I could use that would prevent Audacity from changing the speed of the clips when I change the tempo. If this already exists, please let me know!
