Just a further lesson in how cheap the IONs are …
My Shure ML120HE cartridge shed its diamond stylus this morning. I can either get it re-tipped by a little specialist stylus company in the UK for £60 ($120) - or I found a new stylus assembly in the US for $149 plus shipping - OUCH!
I remember last time when I went to replace the stylus in my old V15III in 1997 - the man in the shop sold me the brand new ML120EH as being cheaper than a replacement stylus then.
Anybody got any suggestions for a good cheap replacement cartridge to go in an SME arm on a Technics SL150 deck?
