hi guys
i saved songs to my do with audacity now i want to delete them but amoung these files there are dat files.i kinow if i delete
them there can be problems with my computer.is there a safe way to remove them that im not aware of?

Once you have EXPORTED your song as a WAV file, you can delete the audacity project file (filename.aup) and its corresponding data folder (filename_data).
Temporary files are automatically deleted by Audacity when you close the program.
If you are exporting in a compressed format such as MP3, you may want to keep a high quality WAV file as a backup - this can be burned to one or more CDs for safe keeping. Note that CDs do not last forever - CD is not a perfect medium for long term backup storage.
