Removing a specific repeated sound

I am experimenting with using a pocket digital recorder mounted on a bracket attached to my camera to record ambient sounds etc for digital slideshows.

Early results are surprisingly good. However, every time I take a picture it records the noise of the shutter and mirror.

Is there a way in which I can lay down this sound and automatically search through tracks to remove it? I imagine its characteristics are pretty constant. Variations in exposure length may make some difference, but the main sound is from the mirror which is likely to be pretty constant.

Anyone know if or how this can be done, please?

Nope, not possible.

While technically possible, you’d need some really fancy hardware. Even then it would need lots of human input.
