Let’s say that I wanted to isolate the left track without the center-panned vocals. How do I do that? The split-to-mono-and-invert-one-track method doesn’t work unless both are played - I just want one of the tracks. Any help?
You might not get there.
You can’t do Vocal Isolation well and that’s what you need to cancel the original voice from one side. The product of successful Vocal Removal is not the original stereo show. It’s a single-channel mono show with no voices – and you can’t go backwards. The people who claim Vocal Isolation play a number of tricks to get there. Their voice is not an exact copy of the original stereo voice, and so can’t be used for further cancellation.
