reducing high pitch loud noises on audio track

I’ve tried various options in audacity, but with no luck. I simply want this one audio track’s sound to be comfortable to listen to. I guess removing the high pitch loud noises won’t really do me that much good, seeing as it is likely to make it very hard to hear what people are saying on this track.

I cut the audio down to a 30-40 seconds long clip and uploaded it here:

If anyone knows how to fix this, that would be awesome. The reason I’m doing this is to re-upload some videos (creative commons license) with improved audio, because the original audio on some of the videos are so terrible.

Unfortunately there is very little can be done. The recording is so severely distorted that it is beyond repair.
