I’m a newbie - I need to record the natural silences in between words. The recordings are voice only as I am a Hypnotherapist, gaps, silences and pauses are important to us.
Audacity doesn’t seem to allow me to do this,. Is there a setting that will allow continuous recording during silences?
If silences are truncated you may have enabled Audacity’s sound activated recording.
If silences are not truncated, but are squelched, you may have “audio enhancements” enabled.
[BTW I would not rely on Audacity alone for such recordings, a dedicated recording-device as a back-up seems a good idea].
