Recording Stops After One Minute

I’ve been using Audacity for years without problems, but today, all of a sudden, the recording stops after a minute. It’s not frozen, it’s not set to “Sound Activated Recording”, but it will stop at exactly the same length of time every time.
But when I disconnected my USB microphone, the problem went away, why would this suddenly become a problem? It’s the same mic I’ve had for a year now. I can’t record with anything else, I’m stuck.

There was a similar post recently where someone had accidentally turned on looping. Could it be something as simple as that?

Thanks for the suggestion. That doesn’t seem to be it. Managed to record the episode of my podcast in the end. All I changed was the USB port I was plugging the mic into. No idea why that made a difference, the first port is fine.
