Hello, I have used Audacity for a couple years but now have a problem with the program receiving the content from a record album.
Speakers are working fine with other programs. Now when I hit record nothing happens no matter what setting I use. The cursor doesn’t move at all.
The connection wire from turntable to computer is new so should be fine.
I’ve tried deleting program and reinstalling and get the same issue.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
Make sure you’ve selected the correct Recording Device (Don’t select anything that says “loopback”) and check the recording volume slider which is now “hidden” under the recording level meters.
If that doesn’t help, please tell us about your hardware and how you’re connected… Do you have a USB turntable, etc.?
Thank You a bunch! I think I’m getting there. Now Audacity is working and receiving the music from the turntable. I can hear what I’ve recorded after it’s recorded but not while it’s recording. I can’t hear the record while it’s playing. I don’t see anywhere that’s muted though. This hasn’t happened until recently.
Any suggestions?
